Several years ago, I was diagnosed with osteoarthritis which caused my joints to ache
and gave me trouble sleeping. My friend introduced me to Bikram Yoga in February 2007
and I came 8 times during my ten day intro. Jay gave me the distinction of being the
"stiffest guy in the studio". After practicing 5 to 6 times per week for more
than 4 years, my arthritis is manageable and I sleep all night without pain.
Side benefits from the yoga are that I have more energy, better peace of mind
and an increased ability to let go of worry and anxiety. I felt so much better
that I wanted to share Bikram with other "baby boomers" that have the same
ailments and stiffness that I do. I attended teacher training in Spring of
2010 which was the hardest thing I’ve ever done, but an incredible life-changing
experience.
